Nice surprize from Fiji...

Today the start of the day was exciting. I received a long waited  mail from Sunny Fiji and another mail from Åland (in next post). All credits goes to Merelita Isimeli from Fiji Post. Big thanks to her. I received 5 different kinds of airmail labels! Just curious are all of those labels currently in circulation. But anyway, for me Fiji labels still remain most attractive airmail labels from the recent labels around the world!

Macao: Airmail labels

Here are 2 complete sheets of airmail labels from Macao.

Macau, also spelled Macao is, along with Hong Kong, one of the two special administrative regions of the People's Republic of China. It lies on the western side of the Pearl River Delta, bordering Guangdong province to the north and facing the South China Sea to the east and south.
Macau was a Portuguese colony and both the first and last European colony in China. Portuguese traders first settled in Macau in the 16th century and subsequently administered the region until the handover on 20 December 1999. The Sino-Portuguese Joint Declaration and the Basic Law of Macau stipulate that Macau operates with a high degree of autonomy until
at least 2049, fifty years after the transfer.(wikipedia)

Robert Burns (25 January 1759 – 21 July 1796) (also known as Rabbie Burns, Scotland's favourite son, the Ploughman Poet, Robden of Solway Firth, the Bard of Ayrshire and in Scotland as simply The Bard) was a Scottish poet and a lyricist. He is widely regarded as the national poet of Scotland, and is celebrated worldwide. He is the best known of the poets who have written in the Scots language, although much of his writing is also in English and a "light" Scots dialect, accessible to an audience beyond Scotland. He also wrote in standard English, and in these his political or civil commentary is often at its most blunt. (Source: Wikipedia.)
