Here are some nice airmail labels from Ceylon.
The Dominion of Ceylon, known today as Sri Lanka, was a dominion, in the British Empire between 1948 and 1972. In 1948, British Ceylon was granted independence as the Dominion of Ceylon. In 1972, the Dominion of Ceylon became a republic within the Commonwealth, and its name was changed to Sri Lanka. The Dominion of Ceylon was an island country in South Asia, located about 31 kilometres (19.3 mi) off the southern coast of India.

ReplyDeleteI don't know if you know - but there is a picture catalog made of all airmail labels until 1991. It was made by the 'Postal label study group' (I don't know if it is still in print). I have the catalog and wouldn't mind looking up a few labels if you ever need help.
