Catalogue of Airmail Labels by Günter Mair

So, this week i finally received my copy of Airmail labels catalog! The catalog is by Günter Mair and released in 1991 covering 201 countries world wide and 3289 illustrations. Later seven supplements with a total of 173 pages have been added to the original volume of 626 pages.
My old post will be updated with information from the catalog. Also new posts will have more additional information about the labels. And with the help of the catalog i will be able to identifier more labels i have and post them here.

  3. Hi,
I am writing an article about (air)mail franked or mixed with revenues in South Africa. I want to refer available labels on letters to certain works like David McDonald or Howard Cook but both seemed to be unavailable to friend I wrote.

Now I see your work and was wondering what kind of reference number etc. you are using for your work and the name of the catalogue. The intention is publication in the Royal Philatelic Society of Londonin 3 parts: colonies; Union and republic.

If you are listing South African labels, what have you mentioned for a label on an airmail letter from 1937 (sizes slightly vary but same design); the same but standard on an airmail letter of 1947; new type on blue label in 1960 and same design but font changed in 1966. a standard airmail letter has the old design again used in 1962. Is request is no joke so hope you can help me. If necessary I send some scans.

    with regards
